One side clamps to the tripod and the other side clamps the stem of a handy folding umbrella in the holder. This way you place the umbrella above your camera and it stays dry and you have your hands free to operate the camera. The UC-01 multi-functional clamp is CNC machined and made of anodized aircraft aluminum. This makes it extremely strong but remains lightweight.

The UC-01 clamp has two additional ¼-inch screw holes to attach accessories.
